What is Hextrife?

Hextrife is a roguelike, randomly generated puzzle game that features six characters, each with their own style of gameplay through multiple biomes until the end!

Upgrade your weapons, collect coins and keep pushing to get through the portal. But beware, enemies will be trying to block your way out moving when you move!

This game is completely free and open source. 

In the link below you can download the source code of the Game Maker project. Any modification to it can be made and released as long as the original creator is attributed. 

For those who dare to venture inside the code: Hextrife was completely developed by a single person (except the audio) purely for fun and as a hobby. A lot was learned in the process, so keep that in mind when analyzing it for academic purposes.

Hextrife is directly inspired in the mobile game Hoplite, by Magma Fortress.
